We connect educational theory with real teaching practice, helping new and experienced teachers build a clear, purposeful approach to their work.
Led by Anthony van den Broek, Principal Lecturer and AMEB examiner, our specialist faculty brings together experience in music education, performance and the business of teaching.

FOUNDING PIANO COHORT · 2027
Practical preparation.
Professional pathways.
Our first course is for piano teachers: ten weeks of live online learning, a two-day practical intensive in Sydney and guided assessment.
Build your teaching practice. Bring pedagogy, lesson planning and professional studio skills together in one focused course.
Work towards accreditation. Develop evidence of your teaching and professional practice for Music Teachers’ Association accreditation pathways.
Prepare for teaching diplomas. Build knowledge and assessment skills relevant to AMEB CTMusA and ATMusA teaching diplomas.
Accreditation and diploma awards are determined by the relevant association or examining body, with separate requirements and fees.

Our vision is practical, accessible professional education for instrumental teachers across Australia, with further diploma pathways and international reach as the Institute grows.
